The Resource Center is available to CerTrav.Net travel agents only and includes all of the things you need to make your travel agency a success.

Booking Systems

Flights, Cars and Hotels

The SABRE™ airlines reservation system is the largest and most sophisticated system in the world. More than 18,000 travel agencies use the system to make flight, car and hotel reservations through 62,000 video terminals. There are over 650 airlines, 20,000 hotels and 50 car rental companies included in the system. More than 400 million reservations are processed annually. The worldwide reservations center is in Tulsa, Oklahoma.

With this system you will be able to view schedules and availabilities of hundreds of airlines, secure the lowest priced itinerary between any two cities on any day and book flights for your customers.  In addition you will be able to view room rates and availabilities of all major hotel chains and many independent hotels all over the world and book hotel rooms for your customers and view car rental rates and availabilities of all major car rental companies all over the world and book car rentals for your customers.

Your customers will be able to view complete itineraries through the internet by clicking on the  SABRE Virtually There icon on the home page of our web site to access the detailed itinerary. 

Cruises and Vacation Packages

You will be able to pick from thousands of cruises and vacation packages to find the one just right for your customers.  Then you can make the booking online through one of several booking engines provided to CerTrav.Net by the cruise lines and tour operators.

Travel Specials

Numerous reduced price travel specials are available to you from several sources in the Resource Center:

• All of the dozens of faxes and email messages announcing travel specials that we receive each day at headquarters are now available to you on the internet.

• You will have access to the specials offered by members of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA) through their travel agent-only Power Package.

• Group cruise travel fares as well as special promotions of all sorts are available through our association with the Vacation.com consortium of travel agents.

Reference Material

The Resource Center provides volumes of reference material for your use in planning travel for your clients and keeping abreast of the ever-changing world of travel:

• A section devoted to providing latest news and announcements from headquarters.

• A list of all travel suppliers and the commissions they pay us arranged alphabetically and by destination.  Complete information on how to contact each supplier and a brief overview of their specialty is provided.

• Descriptions of all travel destinations are provided.  You type in the destination name and the system tells you all about that destination.

• The Trip Finder locates the trips appropriate for your customer - you put in the desired destination, type of vacation and travel dates - Trip Finder then suggests the trips that would be suitable.

• A section lists the many travel publications and subscriptions that are available to you, their costs and how to order.

• The current commission policy for all airlines is shown.

• The Help section tells you where to find help for any problem that you may encounter.

Operating Information

All the procedures and forms you need to operate your travel agency and communicate with headquarters are included:

• Sabre Download - Instructions for downloading the SABRE reservations system to your computer.

• Operating Manual - Detailed instructions for the operation of your travel agency and procedures for communicating with headquarters.

• eForms - All the forms you will use to transmit information to headquarters via the internet.
