Reservations System

You will use your computer to access the SABRE™ Reservations System to book travel for your company. The SABRE™ airlines reservation system is the largest and most sophisticated system in the world. As a member of CerTrav.Net, you will pay no fees for the use of this system - if you subscribed to the system directly through SABRE you would have to pay $40.00 per month to use it!

Training

You will receive our comprehensive training program that will get you up to speed in a few short weeks. 

Support

A full complement of support services will be provided to make sure your travel arranger provides a high level of service to your company's travelers.

•  7/24 Support. Support you can count on from our staff of travel experts - 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

• Internet Support. Free access to the Resource Center secion of our Internet site.

• Brochure Service. All the travel brochures at no cost shipped free from the travel vendors or at only our shipping cost when shipped from our supplies.

• Accounting Service. We account for all of your sales, file necessary reports with the airlines, remit payments to vendors for you, keep track of your sales and rebate your share of commissions earned on your purchases.

• Commission Follow-Up. We track your reservations to be sure commissions are received.

	Official Tour Directory. Thousands of tour wholesalers indexed by destination and/or specialty including toll-free telephone numbers.  Now on line through Internet.
	Official Hotel and Travel Index. The industry "bible" for hotel information. All major hotels, worldwide, with descriptions, maps, rates and toll-free telephone numbers.  Now on line through Internet.
	Berlitz Cruise Guide. Lists all cruise lines and cruise ships. Complete explanation of the cruise experience. Classifies and rates all cruise ships. Makes you a cruise expert.
	Vacation.com Hotel Guide.  As a member of Vacation.com, you will receive this complete listing of hotels offering specially negotiated reduced rates for Vacation.com member travel agents only.  Now on line through Internet.
	Jax Fax Travel Marketing Magazine. A one year subscription to this travel reference including Consolidator schedules and rates.

Certified Manuals

• Associate's Manual. A comprehensive "how-to" manual. All you need to know to understand, research and sell travel products.

• Procedures Manual. The detailed, step-by-step procedures you should follow in processing your reservations.

• Sabre Training Manual.  Now, you can learn Sabre in one day with the new Sabre Training Manual.  This self-study manual takes you through the booking of air, cars and hotel rooms in  easily understood step-by-step instructions.  All the mystery of Sabre formats is taken away!  You make the actual entries at your computer following the instructions in the manual.  Screen shots of each of the Sabre responses are included in the manual so  you can compare the response you get from Sabre with the screen shot in the manual.

Travel Agent Credentials

Your in-house travel agency will be immediately recognized as a legitimate travel agency  when dealing with travel vendors.

	IATAN Membership. You'll use this membership to secure your travel agent ID card when you become eligible.
	CLIA Membership. Our membership in Cruise Line International Association will entitle you to free promotional literature, and special agent rates on cruises. Card available when you sell two cruises.
	ASTA Membership. You'll be identified as being affiliated with Certified Travel, a member of the American Society of Travel Agents. As an associate of Certified Travel, you will be eligible to become a member of ASTA for an annual fee of $85.00, if you care to do so.
Airlines Reporting Corporation	ARC Number. You'll be given our ARC number to use when booking travel so that you are recognized as a legitimate travel agent and entitled to a commission.

Travel Agent Benefits

The travel vendors - airlines, tour operators, cruise lines, etc. - recognize that travel agents need to be familiar with the products they are selling. Therefore, the travel vendors offer professional travel agents very favorable reduced rates so that they can become familiar with the products they sell. Your will be entitled to take advantage of these benefits.  This is one of the great fringe benefits of having an in-house travel agency.

After you sell five cruises you will be eligible for the CLIA identification card which will entitle you to reduced travel agent rates on many cruise lines.

As a recognized travel agent, you will be entitled to other travel benefits after you have attained the productivity levels required by the travel industry. Before the travel vendors will accept your application for a fam trip or travel agent reduced rate they will ask to see you IATAN identification card. In order to be placed on Certified Travel's IATAN list, you must meet IATA's eligibility requirements - i. e., earn $5000 in commissions (your share). When you reach this level, you will be eligible to receive the treasured IATAN identification card and begin to receive travel benefits.

Then you can receive these types of savings: 75% off of full priced airfares; free upgrades to first class; cruises for $35.00 per day; hotel rooms at 50% off; free familiarization trips to resort destinations; deeply discounted car rental rates; and, free dinners and cocktail hours to learn about vendor offerings.

Resource Center The Resource Center is a password protected portion of the CerTrav.Net web site.  It includes all the tools you need to be a successful travel consultant.  In addition to the SABRE reservations system, operating manuals and complete training course, it includes news updates from headquarters, electronic forms for submitting information to headquarters, industry publications and reference guides, information on travel suppliers including commissions paid and sources for help for any problems you may encounter.  Extensive lists of travel specials and several booking engines for online booking of vacation packages are included.  You may view  the contents of the Resource Center.
